Counter the fast pace of life with this slower, contemplative practice including yogic themes to set an intention for the week. 

Yin is a style of yoga in which poses are held for 3-5 minutes each in order to stretch the fascia and connective tissues in the body, and to still and calm the mind. In order for the practice to be effective we look to find a gentle sensation of stretch in a position that is sustainable (so not 110% your fullest stretch ever!), then focus on breathing, relaxing and finding stillness in the body and mind.

Yoga Nidra is the healing and restorative practice of yogic sleep.  In yoga nidra you are guided through a series of mental exercises and visualisations that will allow your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation. 

 

In Studio & Livestream on Zoom

You can attend this class in the studio (211 N.Bowie St, Jasper, TX), or stream it live wherever you are using zoom; simply select your preference on the sign up form so that we send a link if you're joining us online.

 

Payment

If you have an active class pass, one session will be deducted from your pass.

Due to technical restrictions I am often not able to see you clearly in all poses as I usually can in the studio. With this in mind, please only practice what feels good to you and skip/modify poses where necessary.
